Wheel Quartering Calculator
Calculate and visualize wheel quartering (crank positioning) for model steam engines and trains.

Wheel Quartering Information
- 2-Cylinder: Cranks positioned 90° apart for smooth power delivery
- 3-Cylinder: Cranks positioned 120° apart for continuous power
- 4-Cylinder: Typically two pairs of 180° opposite cranks, 90° between pairs
- Crank Throw: The radius from wheel center to crank pin
- Offset: Starting angle for the first crank (usually 0° or set to match other wheels)
- Model Engineering Tip: Mark crank positions carefully for accurate casting or machining
